Budapest ultrasound is a centre where you will be examined  referral from your GP or by self referral. The centre is run by qualified radiologists with over 7 years experience each. We await only adult patients (over 18 years). Properly performed, ultrasound scanning poses no known risks to the patient and does not use radiation. It has become one of the most widely used diagnostic tools in modern medicine.
Our aim is for you to come back and we establish a personal relationship with you as we develop our client base. We have comfortable spacious room and waiting area which is manned by our cheerful and approachable assistant. New state of the art Siemens equipment has been acquired. Budapest ultrasound opened in November 2015 in the 21th district of Budapest (south Budapest). 
Our radiology service offers a highly competitive pricing structure without compromising quality. Because we provide the full range of sonographical investigations, we can recommend the most appropriate for you.
Our team will make your visit a positive experience by listening, understanding your needs and reduce the level of anxiety and discomfort as much as possible.
A written report will be available and black and white thermal images are also given.

How to reach us by public transport: Bus No. 148 or No. 152, Sporttelep stop; or Bus No. 151 (stop: Bajcsy-Zsilinszky út)

We are appr. 30-40 min away from the city centre of Budapest in Csepel island. Please catch the suburban train No. H7 from Boráros tér. Take off at Karácsony Sándor utca stop and walk 2 minutes to the bus stop (bus No. 148, direction: Csepel, Soroksári rév) or bus Npo. 152 (direction: Csepel, Királyerdő út). Please get off at "Sporttelep" stop, our office is 1 Minute walk from there.

Abdomen and Pelvis, chest wall and other soft tissue ultrasounds:
Abdomen and Pelvis Ultrasound (trans-abdominal)* This is used to assess for a cause of abdominal pain. It analyses your liver, gallbladder, biliary tree, pancreas, spleen and kidneys and bladder. It can also assess your central large blood vessels. In men it may also be able to assess your prostate gland and in women, it may be able to assess your uterus and ovaries. How to prepare: 8 hours of fasting required. No breakfast if morning appointment / no lunch for afternoon appointment. Clear fluids including black tea or coffee are allowed. For diabetics maintain food intake but avoid fatty or dairy products. Drink 0.5 Ltr (1 pint) clear fluid approx 1 hour before appointment time. Milk and fizzy drinks are not recommended. Please do not empty your bladder before the examination. Maintain normal medication.	35 000 HUF

Male Scrotum ultrasound* This is used to assess for abnormalities in the scrotum of a man, such as testicular masses, varicoceles, epididymal cysts and epididymitis. It may also be requested to look for a cause of your infertility.	30 000 HUF
Male penis and scrotum ultrasound* Investigation of infections, soft tissue masses and knots of penis, moreover we examine the circulation of the penis.  This is used to assess for abnormalities in the scrotum of a man, such as testicular masses, varicoceles, epididymal cysts and epididymitis. It may also be requested to look for a cause of your infertility.	35 000 HUF
Soft tissue ultrasound (1-2 region) * Examination of soft tissue pathologies (for ex. subcutan lipoma, haematom etc.)	30 000 HUF
Chest wall (pleura) and dipahragm motility ultrasound* This is used to assess for abnormalities in the pleura and chest wall. We examine the motility and kinetics of your both diaphragm.	35 000 HUF
Complex neck ultrasound (thyroid gland, salivary glands, soft tissues, lymph nodes) * To exclude thyroid, submandibular glands and parotid abnormalities and to exclude cervical lymphadenopathy and  cancer.	35 000 HUF
Complex neck ultrasound (thyroid gland, salivary glands, soft tissues, lymph nodes) and carotid Duplex US  To exclude thyroid, submandibular glands and parotid abnormalities and to exclude cervical lymphadenopathy and  cancer. We will perform a detailed scan including Doppler to look at the size, condition and blood flow through the following arteries in the neck: common carotid arteries, internal and external carotid arteries and vertebral arteries.	60 000 HUF
Muscoloskeletal ultrasounds:
Knee ultrasound (one side)* To exclude fliud collection, muscoloskeletal lesions. One knee examination is included in this price.	35 000 HUF

Vascular ultrasounds:
Carotid ultrasound * We will perform a detailed scan including Doppler to look at the size, condition and blood flow through the following arteries in the neck: common carotid arteries, internal and external carotid arteries and vertebral arteries.	35 000 HUF
Peripheral venous scan (both upper arm)* We will perform a detailed scan including Doppler ultrasound of the upper arm to exclude thrombosis.	35 000 HUF
Venous Duplex Ultrasound (both upper arm or legs, DVTs)* Vascular U/S to detect deep vein thrombosis (DVT) / varicose veins.	35 000 HUF
Peripheral Arterial scan (both upper arm or both upper leg)* We will perform a detailed scan including Doppler ultrasound of the upper arm or both legs to exclude atherosclerotic lesions and possible stenosis.	35 000 HUF
Ultrasound of the renal arteries* We will perform a detailed Doppler scan of the kidney arteries to exclude the possible stenosis / occlusion of the kidney arteries which are often the cause of hypertension.	35 000 HUF

Health card discount: Healt card (for ex. OTP, MKB Egészségpénztár) holders can use their cards for all ultrasound examinations.
